How long does my video have to be?

All videos have to be 15 minutes or less, and there is no minimum length.

Is it only possible to make simple, tradition Korean dishes for this contest?

No, you are also free to make Korean-fusion food; however, judges must be able to see the Korean elements.

Can I partner up with someone for the video?

You are able to partner up with people for the video; however, only one prize will be awarded for each winning entry.

Can I promote my blog and sponsored products on my contest video?

No, you may not since we want to solely focus on cooking Korean-food.

Can I include more than one recipe?

Yes, as long as the whole video doesn’t exceed 15 minutes.

Yes, you can submit multiple cooking videos.

I am a professional cook, am I still eligible to participate?

Yes, we are not limiting the participants of the contest. Anyone within the U.S., Mexico, & Canada are welcome to join.

How will my votes contribute to the contest?

50% of the votes will come from the viewer's votes and the other 50% will come from the judges. The voting session will begin on February 1st, 2016 and the viewers will be able to vote at Facebook.com/rolandshopcom Once you're on this FB page, you should be able to see a tab titled "Roland's 2016 K-Food Video Contest". There will be another tab within this tab labeled "Vote" next to the "Enter" Tab. Please keep in mind that this will be available once our voting process is in session (February 1st-Febrauary 29th). Through this tab, you will be able to see all the submissions, and there will be a handy "vote button" on each video that viewers can click to vote for your video. Also keep in mind that viewers should click on the "Vote" button instead of the "Like" button for their vote to count. Mobile users can also vote at http://woobox.com/ea9mi9

Can I use someone else’s recipe for the contest?

Yes. However, your video must be your own original content. If you don’t use your original recipe, please make sure to mention where you obtained the recipe in either the description box or by adding a caption in your video.

How will the Grand Prize Winners be determined?

To determine the Grand Prize winners, we will add up the points awarded from the viewers’ votes which will account for 50% and the Judges’ votes which will also account for 50%. Please check www.Rolandshop.com/event for the Basic Cooking Contest guidelines located towards the bottom of the page.

Does my video have to be in English?

Yes, or if you happen to speak in a different language other than English, you must put in English Subtitles that is understandable to English speakers.

Does my video have to be uploaded onto Youtube?

Yes, and it must be uploaded with your own original content in your own account.

What should I title my video?

All videos must start off with the title “RolandShop K-Food” for example “Rolandshop K-Food Easy Crazy Kimbap”

Once I submit my video, where will I be able to see it?

All submissions will be visible under our "Roland's 2016 K-Food Video Contest" tab on our following facebook page: Facebook.com/rolandshopcom. Once the voting session starts on February 1st, 2016 there will be a "Vote" tab right next to the "Enter" tab that will be available for viewers to vote on their favorite video. You will be able to see your video along with other video submissions during that time.
