2017 isn’t over yet, but as the year winds down and we gear up for 2018, it’s a great time to take a look at the home décor trends that will be popular in the upcoming year. As always, some trends will stick around, but you might be surprised at what’s coming in and what’s coming back.
Typography – Typography has been gaining popularity and it’s not going anywhere soon. Everything from names to quotes to giant letters have been all over Pinterest, taking the interior decorating world by storm. If something catches your eye, give it a try! Incorporate it into your decorating. Typography is here to stay.
Brass – Brass has been a thing of the past since it went out of style quite some years ago, but it’s making its way back! Not in the same way as before, though. Instead of the 80’s brass bright, shiny, and cheap appearance, 2018’s brass is richer, smoother, and more modern looking.
Black and white – Black and white have always been classic, neutral colors that are perfect to compliment and contrast the other colors you have in the room, but 2018 is going classic with black and white paired together.
Beige and brown – Like black and white, beige and brown pieces are perfect neutrals to accent the colors you want to show off in any given room, but things are toning down in 2018 and getting back to neutral, relaxing vibes.
Gallery walls – Whether it be a gallery wall filled with classic works of art or a modern gallery wall with typography and photos of friends and family, it’s sure to be a hit with friends, family, and 2018’s home décor trends.
